It is a fairly new park but it is quiet and there is plenty of room for my dog to roam. Trails are not clearly marked but enjoyed walking in the woods. Nice kayak/canoe launch.
Hidden gem of AA County
This park is amazing. Currently it's not that well known. Anne Arundel County only just recently finished some much needed improvements that make this a great place to put in kayak, paddle boards and canoes. Access is restricted right now likely over budget issues while they find more funding. You can request the gate code via the park's page on the Anne Arundel Parks and Bayberry Drive and another further down. Gate 1 will take you past the old 1800 era house that's in disrepair, through the woods and down to the parking and loading area. Gate two is a less fun and much shorter trip right to the same parking area.
Beautiful views of the water. Nice paths in the woods except the creepy empty grave site. I'm very interested in kayaking here.
Past the loading area you take about a 25 yard, slightly descending trail to a small beach. The water is very shallow here and my only complaint was a number of old bricks just under the water line. Those can easily be moved. There is also a small 2 acre lake and some hiking/game trails you can walk on. All and all this park is perfect if you want a quiet place in Arnold or a spot on the Magothy to do some kayaking.
This park is beautiful! Nice and tucked back into a community, it's very private. Launched kayaks from the beach.
