I received the wrong generic brand for my prescription and didn't notice it until I got home. When I called I was told they didn't have the generic brand that was noted in my records but would place an order and I could pick it up today. I took the last pill yesterday and tried to pick up the correct prescription today only to be told by the pharmacist that although they had the correct brand in stock (probably because the person I talked to ordered it for me)they would not give it to me because they have the right to fill a prescription with any generic they have in stock and would not even allow me to pay out of pocket for a couple of pills until this issue could be resolved. Terrible customer service and negligent patient care, but I have no choice since my insurance dictates that I have to use Rite Aid for my prescriptions. I have filed a complaint with my insurance company and with Rite Aid customer service which will take a couple of days to resolve, until then I am out of medication. If you can choose where to fill your prescriptions, DON'T choose this Rite Aid.
Excellent store. Always clean and organized. Staff is very helpful and friendly.
Again, I can’t stress this enough - I was hoping the new building in BAY Hills would put a little compassion in the employees but nope - just as bad. I shredded my Plenti Card, and my family will not use the on site clinic or purchase another thing there. Ever.
Requested my refill (Insurance allows for 5 days before) because of a business trip. I use a scheduled mediciation for RLS. The pharmacist refused and looked at me as if I had a problem. I have NEVER asked for an early refill or had a lost medication claim.
DO NOT use these pharmacists - they are as BAD as people who racial profile / pre judge people. I called Safeway and they took the refill and had it ready for me the same day.
Beware this location! My neighbor bought me a Starbucks card here for helping him out with cleaning his gutters. I took the card to Starbucks and they said there was nothing on it. I went to the Rite-aid in question and they told me to call the number on the back of the card. I did so and Starbucks said that Rite-aid never activated the card. With this, I got back in line and the manager told me that although Rite-aid was at fault, there was nothing they could do because I *might* be trying to get over on them by stealing the card and trying to get them to activate it. They said that this happens all the time. That means any of us could be ripped off by this store and probably frequently are.
I am happy to say that in less than 24 hours my problem was resolved and i was able to pick up the correct prescription tonight. The pharmacy staff was very gracious and assured me that this would never happen again. A big thank you to everyone involved in helping me reach a speedy resolution to this problem. My doctor's office has told me to give a special big thank you to Greg from Rite Aid customer service. Thank You Greg!
This pharmacy is awesome. Have been filling prescriptions for over 26 years. Pharmacy techs, clerks and Most especially the Pharmacists are super professional. I have not had one bad experience since the mid 1980s. There have been times when I have had to wait a few minutes but I could look around and see that the lines were long, it was flu season, etc. I was always apologized to for wait and medicine was dispensed ina timely manner. Current Pharmacist, Johnetta had done a fantastic job and I would like to commend her. I do miss Livingston who also had been at this store for quite some time but recently transferred. I wish him well. Overall a great store and above average pharmacy
